Roof Rails - Popular Option?

I had them on mine cause I prefer the look with them on, never used them on any cars I've had though.

Had them on my first Macan. Never used them. They eventually went a mottled finish that “isn’t covered under the warranty sir!”. Haven’t specced them on my new Macan and I prefer the look of the car without them………… looks far slicker in my view.

As mentioned elsewhere, I was told that if they weren’t factory fitted then there was no option to retrofit.

I prefer the look of a Macan with the roofbars.

It is an SUV after all and not a Sports Saloon.

Never used them with either Macan but they give me options should I need to.

Wouldn't bother on a dark car but as above on a lighter coloured car the black along with the sunroof give a nice contrast imo.

I wouldn't have a Macan without as it enables me to put roof bars on and then bikes, boxes, diy stuff etc. I've had scaffolding on my roof bars! I do find it hard to get a bike on though due to the height of the car relative to me

The dealer suggested I put them on as they have in the last struggled to sell them without.

I've specced them just because I find they help me reach the centre of the roof when washing the car

I didn't spec them on my Cayenne and had two years of aggro from SWMBO. I also found cleaning the roof a right pain with nothing to hang on to. Have specced them on both Macans for just the reason quoted above. I also understand that retro fitting is difficult.

I had the gloss black rails on my last Macan but the gloss lost its sheen after a couple of years and short of machine polishing I could not get them glossy again by hand cleaning.
