Just on the warranty renewal aspect - my SD coming up to 5 yrs old next month + just received this info.

Nice that rates don’t seem to have increased + they’ve done away with that 111 point check charge and state “You may be able to get cheaper if shop around”!

Now do I go for it to tide me over until getting a new Macan next year (+ possibly add Porsche Assistance for approx £175) or shop around as Porsche suggest?🤔

It is minimum two years warranty, new or extended.

I bought a 20 months old Macan S. It has 16 months left on new car warranty and the OPC provided an additional 1 year extended warranty with Porsche Assistance. I am therefore covered in the next 28 months.

I do think that everything is negotiable and it should be made very clear to us the buyer.

It is transferable if sold privately.

It is refundable only if no claim has been made.

Yes mine was refunded pro-rata when I sold to the trade via Wizzle. It took over two months of chasing to get the refund though!

Yes, and refundable if sold to a trader, as long as it's not an Official Porsche Centre. If you sell to an OPC there is no refund and the Warranty is cancelled.

Having just ordered a Macan S for November build does anyone know what road side recovery you get with the warranty? I have a bmw and it is full recovery including a caravan as I tow. If anyone can tell me it would be appreciated. Also do you get folding mirrors as I can’t see any option on the list so hopefully it’s standard. It also does not say on the standard equipment.

Folding mirrors came on mine, pretty sure they weren't an option, pass on the recovery question, sorry.

I Wouldn't touch Bolton ever, again. First time buying a Porsche and the sales guy was so sexist, so disrespectful to my wife and unhelpful. First porsche experience and absolutely disgraceful.

Had my 7 year old Macan in to diagnose some nasty noises recently and was pleasantly surprised to find out the suspension warranty doesn't expire at 60k! Some replacement suspension arms being fitted due to split bushes.

The law forces them to say that you can shop around, Dave. ;)

Maybe the fact that you say rates don’t seem to have increased, and they’ve waived the 111 point check, are their way of encouraging people NOT to shop around. :P

Cheers,
Simon
