Been there; done that!

Photo above shows the best I ever got on a long trip.

Average over 3yrs was 35 mpg with the SD.

Pleased to say that I probably get similar mpg to Steve and BanZ, as they posted above. Have got up to very low 30s on a run, according to the car’s computer, but I assume that’s overstating reality by a good 10%. :)

RAA wrote: Sat Jul 10, 2021 8:44 am I've had a 2019 Macan S (petrol) for more than two years now, and just passed the 25,000 mile mark. While I agree with others' mpg figures for normal driving, it is possible to achieve over 40mpg as I have done: once you get onto a motorway, just cruise at 50mph without accelerating or braking (except when you really need to). Boring maybe ......... but it IS possible !
Cruising at 50mile/h on a motorway shouldn't be boring. You can play "spot the Eddie Stobart lorries" amongst all the trucks overtaking you. Alternatively you can look in your mirror and see just how big a mobile traffic jam you can create in the outer two lanes.

Peter was too polite to say that rather than being ‘boring’, cruising at 50mph on a motorway is flippin’ dangerous! ;)

Only time I’ve done anything similar was on a dual carriageway, forced to run on a space saver tyre after a puncture - blinkin’ terrifying!

Why would you buy a Macan and do that? I generally try to avoid motorways but my time is my own now and I realise not everyone is as fortunate.

I’ve done up to 28-29mpg on roughly a 1hour drive where most was motorway and average speed was around 50-55mph so low 30s seems possible.

Was going on a long journey today so thought I’d see how I got on. My GTS only has around 500 miles so still being run in but I was pretty pleased with this

May need some tips as to how you are getting 34mpg - unless something has changed between gen2 GTS and gen3 S.
