Failure to comply is almost impossible when you find out how you need to drive to get it over 4000 rpm or it was just bought to sit on the drive for the neighbours' benefit ;)

A chap called Paul, who used to be a regular contributor on here, shared a photo of his dashboard showing, I think, an average of 70mpg for a certain journey, albeit down a mountain, as I recall! ;)
Yes, I remember Paul’s post too.

He swapped their Macan for a Golf R if I remember correctly.

Back to the mileage.

33mpg on MFD probably equated to about 30mpg actual and 39mpg more like 36mpg actual but that is not really surprising given the low 43 mph speed.

The best I have had was 26mpg actual with an average speed of 66 mph.

There again, like many I did not buy a Porsche for its fuel economy.

He bought a 911 cabriolet. :)

I'm quite interested in this too. I only had the Gen 3 GTS for a few hours for a test drive, enough to quickly realised it's definitely no Prius. That car was brand new so it may improve a bit, but I'm expecting low 20's from mine when it arrives, anything above would be a bonus.

My Aston has got strangely economical now I've managed to get more miles on it. On the 150 mile round trip to the OPC to spec my Macan, it did an indicated 30mpg, pretty amazing all things considered. Hopefully the Macan will be able to do similar, although as per the above if I was bothered about economy I wouldn't have ordered one!

Agree that none of us buy a Porsche primarily for the MPG. ;) I often get 30mpg indicated in my Carrera T on a round trip of 350 miles or so, but that is often when there are extended stretches of 50mph motorway roadworks (about the only time I use cruise control). :)
