Do OPC’s ever sell a used car without the 24 month warranty. I’m looking at buying private but apparently it only came with a 12 Month non transferable warranty?

Although I think it will still be transferable. What makes you think it isn’t?

You haven't said how old the car you're looking to buy is. From new it would have had a three year manufacturer's warranty. Sold as "Approved Used" by an OPC it would have had a two year warranty.

If the car is too old for the "Approved Used" scheme it might have been sold with a different warranty.

Yes that is correct but you might find as part of the negotiation someone only takes 1 year and not 2. I know this for a fact as I had this as part of a negotiation recently with an OPC

I purchased mine expecting 24 months warranty (as advertised by the OPC) and then a day later they e-mailed me to re-sign one of the purchase documents to 'acknowledge' that the warranty in fact extended to another, later date - which happens to be 29.5 months from the date of purchase. They told me it had something to do with the fact that the previous owner's warranty was still good for some time (17.5 months by implication) and they needed to top it up for me which meant + 12 months.. no reason to complain, so I just signed without further interrogation.

The warranty is negotiable. It is cost to OPC to extend the warranty and Porsche Assistance. You can negotiate a deal with less warranty.

I just bought a June 2019 Macan S. Manufacturer warranty to June 2022, and OPC tops it up to June 2023. So I have a bit more than 2 years warranty.

The original manufacturer warranty is more comprehensive though.
