SC+ holds the gears to their max rpm
And speeds up the gearshift speed which is bordering on uncomfortable

It's your arms getting used to it. I drove a non power steering classic for a 3 week holiday years ago before going back to normal life and power steering. The first overtake i did, i almost put the modern car in to the right hand verge as i put so much effort in to turning the wheel....

We don't have power steering plus in our macan, and (although it's really my wife's car so i don't drive it much) I've never thought it felt heavy

The last 15 years worth of cars I’ve owned have had progressive power steering. I wasn’t going to start life in a heavy Macan without it and I definitely would spec every time.

My main gripe is that it should be standard kit!!!

Isn't this one option that can be added by the dealer after purchase?

Yes it can be added retrospectively, I had it installed on my Turbo at a cost of £241 and well worth it ! The OPC have to get a code from Germany to install it.

I have heard that it can’t be retrospectively added to a Gen 3 model, but it can be to Gen 1 & 2 cars.
