I thought that was a very full but sensible spec. with little money "wasted" i.e. in my view your few bits of cosmetic expenditure are worthwhile

I too would gave gone for S over GTS due to 21 wheels now on GTS never mind later delivery

PVTS is not just for tracks, it offers advantages if you are using the car in low grip conditions like snow and ice ;) ;)

I think the GTS can make a lot of sense if you genuinely value the "extras" it offers?
So if you really want Sport Chrono, air suspension, sport exhaust 21" wheels etc I can see that it makes a good case for itself.
I was drawn to it at first mainly for the extra BHP and the idea that it would be the most powerful ICE Macan ever made.

My decision was finely balanced because my "S" spec came out at 65k.

Over time, I changed my mind and went for the S.
This is because the GTS isn't meaningfully quicker in real life (below 100mph) - and no quicker at all if you tend to drive at my rather "dignified" pace :-).
I also came to realise that I really didn't want the particular bits and pieces that it offers.

For me in real terms, the GTS would just be a less comfortable "S" :-)
This isn't in any way a criticism of the GTS - just an observation that it really is a case of horses for courses.
(I doubt I'll even be pressing the "Sport" button very often :-)

I'm sure you'll love whatever options you do choose in the end - they're great cars :-)
Sport Chrono is not a Standard feature on the GTS. It's a £704 Option. :D

My mistake :-).

So 0.2 seconds slower 0-100mph!
How will you ever get anything done???!? :-)

Don't feel too put out as it SHOULD be a Standard feature. But no doubt Porsche will add more "Standard" features just before the ICE models are defuncted :D

I doubt they'll stop ice until 2030. The demand will probably increase as the deadline draws closer. The R&D cost will have been written off by 2024 and it will be bottom line profit all the way.

I would expect by then every single current Option would be a Standard feature

S it is then due to timescales.

Has the SE given you guidance of what to include to maximise trade in value if your S is only going to be with you 2-3 years?

If long term is the aim then go for what you consider your own must haves.

My own must haves are in my signature, the only thing I do not get full use out of is the Connect+ that I included, not into streaming music, in car WiFi so it is a bit of a waste.

Finally put my code in to OPC even though car is not due for a while yet.
Signed order form too.
My code is www.porsche-code.com/PNA7L6I7
The only item i was wavering on was the air suspension, but decided £10K worth of options was enough and as I've not had it on any other car I've owned I wouldn't miss it.
This forum has helped me pick some options that i probably wouldn't have considered before joining so I appreciate all the info that this forum holds.
Struggled a little with colour choice too as initially it was going to be Miami Blue but I've found that the colours on the configurator are not a true reflection of the actual colour in many cases. Have now chosen Gentian Blue after seeing a new S in that colour in my OPC.
I drove a new S 2 weeks ago and just thought the performance was fantastic, it had Chrono too which was impressive.

Did your test drive car have air? I’ve never had it before either but the demo sold it to me and I didn’t want mine to behave differently from that.

You could drop the silver pipes and illuminated plate and be close to the air cost ;)

The demo car didn't have air unfortunately but felt fine to me. Want to keep the silver pipes but could shed some other stuff perhaps. £1000 for air isn't a deal breaker anyway. Ive got time to think about it as car probably not due till July
