Wing Commander wrote: Tue Jan 25, 2022 3:35 pm I agree. Black seatbelts to match the black leather trim on dash and tops of doors etc. I’d be concerned that pebble belts would show the dirt (something I’m worried about with my Racing Yellow seatbelts).

Red might clash a bit. You already have colour/interest, with the interior wood trim.

(Same you can’t spec Gentian Blue seatbelts.)

Your S looks really smart. :)
Yes, I have the same concern about the pebble belts, and it seem odd that you get Gentian belts if you specify the Gentian stitching but can't order them separately.

However, my thinking with the red belts is that it references the brake calipers.

Am not sure about the logic of red belts referencing the brake calipers. ;)

Brake calipers are only visible from outside the car. Red belts are only really clearly visible when inside the vehicle.

Save the money to buy a lovely present for your wife! :D

Agree it's not logical, it more emotional. And if I were to save the £312 the first £93 would go on the filler cap :)

I get the whole ‘emotional’ thing. Hence me owning a bright yellow 911! :D Very difficult to justify, from a purely logical point of view!

And, hey, the world needs Captain Kirks, as well as Mr Spocks! ;)

Unless you or others use hand creams or are really messy pebble/light belts are fine, had them many times, the drivers belt will take the most punishment. As with the drivers seat. If not comfortable with them save some cash and stick with standard black.
Hand cream is definitely an issue.

Yep, that's the aim, particularly when towing. Seems I'm in a minority of 1 regarding the red belts though :(

The seat belt colour is entirely subjective - you might be in a minority of one but you are also in an exclusive group of one who will be driving and owning!
Go with what YOU want… 😊👍

How did you know I have pointy ears

PS. A yellow car definitely would be a divorcing offence in this household!
