Afternoon all
Looking for some information from anyone who has comfort access fitted
Seen a lot of negative views on this
Hoping someone has something positive to say about it
I have ordered it and hopefully it will be a good extra
If it makes any difference I live in rural Cumbria
Thanks guys in advance

A view of some of the local bad boys outside my daughters house with the scanning equipment for cloning the signals from the comfort entry system on their M3 and X5. Fortunately the keys were in a Faraday Cage type key safe.

Its pretty simple.

It makes the car less safe than without it, but if (like me) you prefer just having your keys in your pocket/ bag and not having to find them each time you get in/ out the car, you need to weigh up the risk of it being stolen against ease of use.

I've had this feature on my cars for the past 10 years and none stolen... so far so good for me.
Macan S on order (17/11/21, no build slot - estimated May 2022)

The Porsche solution for this is far from elegant. Basically you can open the car with your key in your pocket but then start the car by turning the key that is literally glued into the ignition slot!

I think I’m one of the lucky few - I have always managed to find my key in my pocket so far… 😂

I deliberately didn't specify it on my car, and I'm pleased that Porsche at least give us the option of whether or not to have it (some manufacturers fit it as standard). Having had a BMW 7-series stolen from my drive, I wasn't keen to spend £450 to make life easier for criminals. As Porsche themselves say "it cannot be completely ruled out that the key´s wireless encryption code is intercepted and used to open or steal the vehicle".
Macan S collected 4 Dec 2017 - Jet Black, 20" SportDesign, Agate/Pebble, 18-way, Pano roof, Bi-Xenons with PDLS, Surround View, PASM, PS+, spare wheel, towbar.
