They can only change the contracted price if they invoke clause 20.1 and ask you to sign a new contract. If they do not do that then they cannot charge you more. Don't ask them about changing it. Just wait until they ask. Then start the horse trading. You will be stymied if they have a host of waiting list buyers of course.

I think it is a misunderstanding. My final order spec at lockdown (a Sytner dealership rather than JCT600) had a £1330 ‘Price Protection’ reduction line added to correct for the new base price and I didn't need to ask the SE about it. Escalate within the dealership if you are unhappy with your SE’s explanation.

I have no build slot but have been told as my order was placed before the price increase it won’t be effected, that is what Porsche have said themselves.Gibberish wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 10:36 am Visited my opc Yesterday amd whilst i was glad to recieve the news of a Q2 allocation i was told the price rise will affect my order, i placed my deposit in August but all orders without build slots will be affected.
A little annoying but i guess the residuals will be strong for the time i plan to have the car so shouldn't loose much if anything.
Deposit placed in Jan. Didn’t get build slot until after the price increase but was told that price would remain as it was when I put the deposit down.

Are these the same SEs that don't want buyers to talk about Incentives?

Thanks all, i will contact them again to see if it will be taken off in the final invoice.
I know they have lots of customers waiting, most won't be bothered about the price rise either.

Got email confirmation from SE that my order would not be affected from the increase. I placed my deposit back in late August
Macan GTS on order: http://www.porsche-code.com/PPDF6163
Ordered 25th Aug 2021 - Build slot August 2022, Landed in OPC - 29th September 2022 - Collected 29th November 459 days since ordering!

I placed my order and deposit on 1st September and as of todays date still no lock down or build date etc from my SE or OPC.
That said they have kept in touch and always indicated likley late Q2 for a build slot although as time progresses I do get less confident in that.
I spoke with my SE a few weeks back as I had added yet another couple of extras on my build and although new order form indicates the updated price, I was told verbally and also in writing when I questioned the diffrence in price that : "You will not be affected by the price increase as long as your Macan is a MY (Model Year 2022) which it is currently ordered as. If the it changes to MY 2023 the price increase will effect the order. However, I would imagine that your car will arrive prior to the MY change."
So info I received would appear to be pretty consistent with what others have said on here already. It is annoying and in some ways after all this time waiting so far, would I walk away because of the price increase? Likley not, but not a conversation I plan on having unless car does end up a MY 2023.
Cheers GTB.

I also got the “price protection” reduction line added to my revised invoice that I received today ahead of collection on Wednesday.New User wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 2:21 pm I think it is a misunderstanding.
