Open ended question, why?
the surround camera option doesn't just show the back. As the name suggests you see the whole car from a helicopter view and can chose cameras, so you can see how close your your horribly expensive alloys are to the curb; you can see from the nose of the car when pulling out and your view is blocked; you can also see exactly where the front of the car is so you don't nerf the wall with the nose rather than the back.
you get several options on view, from memory they are 1) top 2) front 3) rear 4)panoramic front 5) panoramic rear 6) the two sides (? my memory less confident of name existence of side view)

If the Park Assist doesn't achieve this the camera won't! It's great when reversing out of, or into, a parking space but not for judging distance from an obstruction. Keep it in though!

If I had to rely on Porsche park assist to enter my garage I would never enter it, It is way too sensitive and goes off at about twice the distance that is sensible and useful

I was the first of a number of people to highlight the absence of Surround View on your spec. To my mind, it's a superb option, making kerb-side parking so much easier, as well as helping to park centrally in white-lined parking spaces. Additionally, the way the camera image automatically switches from rear view to front view (and vice versa) as you change gear is very useful. For the extra few hundred quid, it's good value.

Ok, time to ‘fess up, one of the other reasons not to spec it or the ACC is to not have all the camera’s/sensor’s on the grill….
2022 GTS order cancelled
2023 718 Spyder order cancelled

In defence, I would say parked with consideration. The space to the left is obviously poorly shaped and sized and not really large enough to take a modern car. So out of consideration to anyone going in the space to the right, they have been given more space to allow greater protection for both cars paintwork. ;) ;) ;)
