The UK configurator uses the word matrix for the PDLS on the GTS - I just can’t recall seeing the word before and wondered if they had added a new feature. Unlikely though given the issues with sourcing Taycan lights.
You're right. The wording is different to the original PDLS+ option description 🤔

Its does on the S as well as the GTS, it just says it under the Info button rather than on the main screen. The Posrche website does have inconsistencies. It says 375BHP and 380BHP for the S depending on where you look. I assume their web developers get confused between BHP and PS.
I can’t see the matrix word on info button description for the s - are you looking at UK version?

Yep, press the info button so you get tue popup ( on PDLS+). The popup is the same for S and GTS

Me either. I can't see matrix mentioned anywhere for the S only the GTS.

When click the info tab for the Tinted PDLS+ for the S it says "LED main headlights with same functions as PDLS in distinctive design. Selected internal parts differentiated in Black. Same function and geometry as LED main headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus)."

However the GTS says "Paint main trim in black (high-gloss), finished four-point daytime running lights in black (high gloss), finished trims with silvery accentuation. Same geometry and function as LED main headlights with matrix beam including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus) (Code (8IU))"

Except I don’t think it is correct, I don’t think there are new matrix lights on any ICE Macan. I suspect this is an error derived from what we may see on the EV version??

We will not know the truth until 2023 Model year cars are delivered post the Summer. The matrix beam wording appears to have been present on other configurators like Australia and USA on and off since 2018 but what delivered on Macan's no different from UK. The next firm info may be the press release for model year 2023 changes about July time.

I find the situation re Matrix lights frustrating as it is the one change that could persuade me to move to Gen 3 from my Gen2 S. However, I do not want 21 inch wheels that come with Gen 3 GTS

In practice the PDLS plus distance and cornering adjustments are delivered by something that could be described as matrix lights but not going as far as the full box like effect around cars in front you get with full matrix as per BMW etc.

It would be super easy to swap the 21’s for 20’s and make a few quid in the process I would have thought… 🤔
