With air - it adjusts the car so it takes into account the load front and rear. When I hitch up the trailer, the compressor pumps more air to the rear to level up the car. I tow a 600Kg race car which is slightly different to a rowing boat.

For me - PASM is a must have. Air would not be something unless I am towing heavy loads. And if you are not towing, I would not suggest Air at all.
Unless you are buying the base model PASM is standard now. If you are buying the base model you can’t spec PASM at the moment because of parts shortages

I can’t say I’ve ever noticed a float in our air car - what I have noticed is that I’m find the car more and more comfortable as a cruiser.

We took it away for a few days last week and I can’t think of a better car for the job, motorway included. Maybe I haven’t used it much recently but I fell in love with it

We had back to back Macans when the turbo blew on the 992 and that had 21s with just PASM. It really wasn’t bad at all but there were points where you noticed it crash more than ours

Concur with all the positive comments on air. There's no doubt that steel, even with 21's and PASM, gives a great ride which is much better than anything in this class. Air adds another level of comfort if that's what you want but options to step up the performance aspects too. Previous comments on here confirm that many can't feel any 'floatiness' while others, including me, can. It's very slight though, in my case most noticeable on the motorway, but it's instantly and completely dialled out by selecting 'Sport' in PASM while not stiffening the suspension really noticeably. I also ran mine in the low setting all the time. On balance, for this type of vehicle and if you can afford it I'd say go for it, although of course current component delays make that a tricky decision for some.

Interesting that the turbo went on your 992. A turbo went on my 991.2, but I assumed it was down to the power boost provided by Litchfield (who got the turbo/s fixed FOC). :P
