I was talked into a pano roof by the OPC when I finalised my spec. "You won't easily sell it without"

I've probably opened it twice in nearly 5 years and that was only to let the heat out on scorching days parked up.

I recently had blocked drainage holes which meant 2 days in the OPC(fortunately under warranty) whilst they stripped out all of the passenger footwell
to dry it out and check for damage to the electrics.

I'd never spec a pano again and to hell with the residuals.

If you think you'll use a pano roof spec it, if you're not going to use it don't bother. You'll never get all the money you spend on it back, SEs love it as it makes the second hand car easier sold and the newer buyer takes the hit. More profit for them on both ends so a win win, no surprise they push it as a must have. Extras are great and I would encourage the new buyer to get as many as they can afford, just do it for yourself, not some mythical next owner.

You have a good spec there, although agree there are a few items I would drop if you wanted to take down/offset the cost a bit.

Obviously I'm biased as I've got the Alacantra (predecessor of Race Tex) roof lining. We went for it as it was on the demonstrator and looked so much better than the standard lining on our SD. I'm a little surprised that you've gone for it without the GTS leather/Race Tex seat option but all these choices are personal (and cost money  ).

With a black leather interior, the panoramic roof certainly adds light. I only opened the roof in my SD twice in five years but still considered it a good enough option to spec it again. In the SD, I had it in combination with the Pebble/Agate Grey interior and it still added light.

Personally agree on the RaceTex roof lining and the pan roof, had before also with pebble and agate interior and chose it for current car interior leather/ RaceTex 🤔 Great minds 👍

Great spec. I think sports design mirrors transform any Porsche. They look much nicer than the standard ones but there’s another £329

On the desirability of the pano roof, my GF wasn't considering any car that didn't have it.

She's been driving around with it open and I suspect she will use it quite a bit. It definitely makes the inside light and bright.

I'll be checking the drainage outlets every now and then, to make sure they don't clog, but the car isn't parked near trees etc.
