Just a few thoughts for others who in future might be thinking of buying a winter set of tyres. It’s a good idea anyway, but please let’s not start yet another debate on the pros and cons!

I see that these are dated 2015 and 2016 even though ‘off your 2018 GTS’. Tyre industry bodies recommend renewing tyres after five to six years regardless of remaining tread. Tyres deteriorate with age so it’s a performance and safety issue rather than marketing hype.

Winter tyres performance starts to drop off below 4mm tread, particularly in snow, so something to bear in mind if buying used.

Tyres on rims should be stored flat. They can be stacked. Racks are really for loose tyres.

This was a good price for the wheels alone so perhaps the buyer was intending to renew the tyres anyway.
