Tbh this is exactly where I’d expect the price to be. It’s got almost 3 years of warranty on it and likely hasn’t been mistreated like an ex demo car. There is no supply and lots of demand + it’s around +£2K OTR price compared with what the configurator says.
Good luck and a shame you have/need to sell it.
As for WBAC they clearly haven’t updated their prices to reflect the new generation or don’t have data on its value so are being cautious - last time I checked they valued a gen2 S more highly than gen3…

This might be a dumb question, but regarding the approx £2k OTR costs, wouldn’t the first owner get much of that refunded when the car is no longer his? And buying a car that’s only a few months old, what car tax would be payable by the second owner?

No. Most of it is VED tax + year one RFL for new cars over £40k. First owner pays and that's it done. I think!Wing Commander wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 6:26 pm This might be a dumb question, but regarding the approx £2k OTR costs, wouldn’t the first owner get much of that refunded when the car is no longer his? But if first owner pays nearly £2k for first year’s road tax, but sells the car after a few months, so they no longer own the car, don’t they get most of the car tax back, for ‘unused’ months...?PorscheMack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 6:32 pmNo. Most of it is VED tax + year one RFL for new cars over £40k. Refund for the first tax payment on the vehicle
The amount you get back will be based on whichever is lower of:
-the first tax payment when you registered the vehicle
-the rate for the second tax payment onwards
So at least there is some refund....
