I took delivery of my new Macan S at Porsche Silverstone yesterday afternoon. A couple of pics below. You all know what they look like! The car was due to arrive on 26 June but turned up three weeks early while I was away in Spain in the Boxster.

Handover took about two and a half hours. Unfortunately too much time was spent on sorting out the tracker account and payment - my insurers require a tracker - and final finance documents. This didn't leave much time to fully go over the mysteries of the infotainement system. I'll book the masterclass soon.

The drive home was in the rain so I've already got a dirty car! The brakes were quite noisy so I hope they bed in quickly. I also had a yellow auto start/stop unavailable warning. Hopefully this will clear after a good run to charge the battery.

Freebies were an umbrella and choice of key ring colour ...

I now need to work out where to keep the tracker fob.

I'm very pleased with it although there's a lot of new tech to get to grips with.

Good luck with that, not all of it works "out of the box" for which I think the OPCs, or their lack of training, takes responsibility. My first Macan was perfect in that regard, second not so, supplied by different OPCs.

Why the deleted "Macan S" badge on the tailgate ? Asking for a friend.
