I guess as you can only drive at 20mph you’re not seen as a risk 😂

Don't remind me , trying to keep points off my license is hard work. By this time next year drivers in Wales will have added a considerable amount of money to the WA's coffers.

^^^ perhaps the 20 mph limit is also to reduce the claims to councils for pothole damage to vehicle tyres, wheels, suspension components!

Am dreading my renewal, due in less than a month. :?

It does seem that many (but not all) drivers seem to get a quote close to their current cost, by shopping around. Seems poor behaviour of the industry, obviously hoping that the customers who can’t be bothered to haggle and/or shop around will make up for the business lost by existing customers going elsewhere upon renewal...

Strangely last month my existing insurer was easily the best quote I could secure. Still an uncomfortable increase but liveable.
Some quotes ranging from won’t insure to 5 times last years price !

My Cayenne was £1100 last year (an increase of around 50% if I recall). Just tried to get a quote on Confused.com out of interest and the cheapest came out at £2k with £925 excess!
I can get a £400 reduction if I have a black box!
Coincidentally my current insurer came out the cheapest. Dreading renewal date!

My renewal with NFU arrived today, £650.

Looked at Aviva, £850 with more excess, no curtesy car, no breakdown cover and no legal aid,
I will not be going with them.

Spent 1/2 hour on other websites including the comparison ones and none come close to NFU, guess I’m sticking with them.
