Hi everyone
First post here although I’ve spent many an evening reading this forum! Locking down my GTS spec on Friday (first Porsche and first new car purchase for that matter) and keen to get some thoughts on planned options. Spec is here https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRR8J573
Torn between the standard Spyder wheels or the GT in gloss black but massive shame I can’t have the GT wheels in satin black as these look the best in my opinion.
Only placed deposit in August so feeling very lucky to have an estimated delivery date pre Christmas.
Cheers
p.s no I don’t want the spare wheel

Very nice spec, most of what I'd choose, my only problem with it are the black wheels , I wouldn't put black wheels on any colour. Exclusive Design Sport polished black would look great.

Really nice spec. Not sure you need to paint the sideblades on a black car as standard are satin on GTS. Re wheels, get them painted satin afterwards circa £350 job donebrownknows wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 10:25 pm Hi everyone

Welcome, Black is always a great colour when combined with some red. Personally would drop extended leather/RaceTex in black, the red belts and dial and replace with GTS interior package in Carmine as adds the red stitching and covers the belts and dial. Will cost app £1k more but if you want satin black wheels just spec the standard offering which will more than cover the additional cost.

How long are you planning to keep the car - if long term, you might want to be a bit more generous with spec (Bose for example? Even if not a keeper, Bose would probably get some money back at resale).
I’m not a fan of black interior or exterior but a few thoughts
- my spec has Satin Platinum GT design wheels to (sort of) match the standard sideblades which also tie in with the plastic features front and rear. I’ll see if that works when my car arrives hopefully next month.
- one of the contrast stitching options would lift the interior
Good luck with getting to your final spec

Looks great, and you've got most of the essentials without spending a silly amount of money.
You must have dropped lucky in getting your allocation. I placed a deposit in early September and I've had nothing confirmed yet. Not too fussed as I don't want the car until next March, but if it comes sooner I could be tempted.

Welcome to the forum,
As MikeM has suggested the full GTS interior with Carmine Red will cost less than £1k more than you're planning to spend. Obviously, I'm biased but I think it looks great. The only problem with the standard wheels is they're bu***rs to clean.
I'd suggest going for the "GTS" on the sideblades in red. That will match the brake calipers and, as I know to my cost, in black on black it's to all intents invisible.
Whatever you choose, enjoy your car.
