Hi all,
I've been lurking for a few months now so thought that it was about time that I said hello and hopefully be able to contribute to the community a bit.

I have had a Macan S on order since March and expecting delivery around September / October. Not my first Porsche; that was a Boxster S way back in 2001. Waited 9 months for that one so not much has changed in that respect :)

I'm an (early) retired IT Project Manager but in a previous life I did spend ~20 years or so repairing and painting cars. Also spent a couple of years after that working as an insurance assessor so although I'm sure both industries have moved on somewhat, hopefully I can still offer some helpful advice in those areas

Supposed to go into production on the 18th August. That did strike me as a little surprising to be honest as my past experience with various German manufacturers, including Porsche, are that they shut down for a big chunk of August
