Welcome.

Just make sure that you take an extended test drive of a 2.0 and use it on a mix of your usual roads and driving parameters. Maybe also take a 2.9 out as well for comparison.

Buy what you want not what others want you buy. I’ve driven both and agree the S is faster. The S sounds better. But it doesn’t handle better than the T - in fact the T handles better.
The T is less thirsty and the T cruises all day serenely at 70-80.
Where it’s not so good is mid range pull. The S is better at 30-50 and 50-70. But if you spec an S to a T level it’s a good £5-6k more expensive.
So you pays your money and you make your choice.

Ignore the stats, just make sure you'll be happy driving the 2.0 litre.

Welcome Foxy, we’re the 912/ 911 your only drivers?

I have a neighbour who has owned a triumph spitfire from new, he is in his 80’s and it has been his only driver and he still loves it, also in great unrestored condition.

Re the T, I think it’s a great looking car and you don’t need to spend a high amount on options. If your happy with the 2.0 that’s fine, you’re choice and your money. Not a huge lead time either 👍

Thanks 2japs...the 912 and 911 were my only 2 Porsches. My background is MGB's and Big Healeys then a lot of older cars...Wolseley Hornet Special, Alvis TD21 Conv. , several VW T2 vans, split screen, then 3 MX5's .
I'm encouraged that you accept that the T is a good looker without lots of toys added.

I’m a classic car lover too.. I’ve owed a 1964 MGB, 1972 Triumph Stag and a 1968 TR5 which I had for over 15 years! Daily drivers in the late seventies, early eighties a 1973 Celica 1600ST coupe and 1978 Celica 2000 lift back, hence 2japs!
