I haven't specified it because I like the idea of having a specific place in the car to keep it - in the ignition. Otherwise with keyless access I get to the front door of the house and then have to search myself to find my keys.MH82 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 9:10 pmWithout wanting to be rude, the SE’s often don’t know everything.
The two Porsche’s I’ve had with it, you can either put your finger on a button on the handle, then pull, or just pull it twice and it will open.
I have to say that I always locked via the key though rather than the button just to make sure
Finally here

I had keyless entry in my previous Mercedes GLE(had start button) came in handy when could not find key in bags on return in airport car park, just opened the door and drove home found the key after unpacking leisurely at home!! Drawbacks include having to use a faraday pouch with key and a touch of anxiety when using public car parks(car kept in garage at home). Btw my new Macan S stranded in OPC with stop sale for parts issue.....have not asked what the specific issue is, all I know is that the new car would be better of in my garage not exposed to the elements at this time of year!!!Ftb wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 7:14 pm Joe390
The reason being you still get to carry around a key you just don’t use it to start the car there is another key in the ignition
Also the key you carry needs to be used to lock unlock the car
Takes some getting used to and so far I don’t see the point of it
That’s my opinion
Cheers
I believe the OEM alarms are pretty much the same across VAG group and what I did with my Audi and wifes Seat was code the locking/unlocking bleep so I know car is locked/unlocked when using the handle. I would assume this feature can be coded in via OBD2 port

Did you ask for the white front grill inserts as should be gloss black on configurator? I ask because car looks great and wondered how it came about?Ftb wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 7:24 pm Sorry guys wasn’t sure this had uploaded

The Gentian demo I drove the other week had them too. I think they are air filters.

No I am talking about the painted elements at the front in the grill - it should be in gloss black for that package if selected rather than body coloured paint. I wondered if he was allowed to “mix and match” at no extra cost??Bluesnose1812 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 10:35 amThe Gentian demo I drove the other week had them too. I think they are air filters.

Are they not the active ventilation on S and GTS? Blanks on the base? Maybe the configurator can't cope, I've singularly failed to get it to show contrasting seat inserts too

Just select “exterior trim package with gloss black” it’s the last one at the bottom of the list under “exterior” segment and you will see what I mean
