Anywhere close Bluesnose? Welcome aboard (NB OP = Original Poster) some of the jargon is a bit obscure.
Cheers Neil. Spot on with your analysis. The minis were good fun but believe it or not it was the Reliant that taught me how to drive at the extreme edge of the envelope. With a 17 hp Austin 750cc side valve and a maximum speed of 50mph I threw it at everything. When you're 16 you do some really stoopid stunts. If I drive the same way with 375 horses on board my joints will do more than creak.

I would have thought at your young age you would have gone for the GTS 😂 Maybe next time 👍
Incidentally, I have owned over 40 cars, rarely having two at the same time, and even more rarely keeping for more than 3 years. It's an addiction that's hard to explain.. Why did you choose the Macan out of interest?
I did a fair amount of research and the overriding opinion is that its simply the best SportsUV. My Dad had a 928 so I've always had a soft spot for the marque. When I read the spec of the 22 model I just knew I would enjoy it. I decided to sod the cost and go for it.
And I’ve awaits hated the marques growing up and now have 3!

The first car I owned was Mini 1000 auto, great fun. Hard to believe I once drove it from Dornoch home to Birkenhead with just a 30 min stop in Glasgow and could walk afterwards! Oh to be 19 again

Never been in a Reliant but a friend wrote his off first time out. I think it was a present from his parents to keep him off a motorbike

I'm 6'3" so wrapping myself into the Reliant was a skill in itself. I too only had one because my Mum had a friend who died on a bike. Your mate probably did the big no no of accelerating into a bend rather than out of it - impossible to stop it rolling. The way to take any bend was to twitch the wheel to throw the back end and opposite lock out of it :)

Welcome,
Sensible options and as already stated by Nick would drop the running boards and add the 14 way. Personally would lose the aluminium window surrounds, against the black looks like the last car we all will ride in 😉.
