I’m leaning towards removing them from my spec too given everything I’ve read. Mind you, based upon the other active posts I also need to remove the pano in case it leaks and the bonnet because they don’t line up properly. Getting a bit concerned over quality now.

I can answer that pretty precisely as I noted on the way over - 15,911 !

I bought it new in October 2019

My old man always told me not to buy new launch cars. Never listened to him - I think the majority have been new launch cars since 1999 when I had a Lexus is200. The clever 6 CD player thing that went through one slot turned out not to be quite so clever!

Looks very nice but a couple of comments which are entirely subjective and only my opinion.

Not sure it’s worth spending money on black door handles against night blue. I found GT steering wheel occluded view of dials and not as pretty as standard.
Lane change massively overrated - drove for 30 years without it no problem and never had cause for it to warn me in last two cars.
Agree with what you dropped but entirely up to you and what makes you happy - I have over indulged on mine but I am happy…

Thanks Jon. I understand your comments are an alternative. It's good to hear them and helps me reconsider my options.

The black handles are just a nice finishing touch that will make the car different from 99% of other Nightblue Macans which according to our poll is only chosen by 5% anyway.

My first reaction on the demo car was that the std steering wheel felt a bit thin. I can arrange my view of the dials with seat and column adjustments. As I have added black trim to the exterior then I thought I should also do it to the steering wheel.

Lane change. The demo car had it and I was impressed how efficiently it worked. It will never replace the lifesaver glance over my shoulder but the light flashing in the corner of your eye means that you are always aware of cars overtaking you even when you are just pootling along.

Let's hope the end result is worth the hours spent on the configurator

All good It really is about what YOU want and makes you happy. I made a couple of very last second changes (in fact the morning after i had technically locked as they hadnt sent it through) based on a comment from Tracky that i found really helpful
I am now actually relieved to be off the confusorator treadmill now...

So have I. I presented the current Mrs Bluesnose with my final spec this morning ready to send to the dealer. "Why aren't you having Black?. Waste of money on a metallic colour that looks black anyway" Female logic being what it is meant it was pointless arguing. Like you the configurator is now consigned to the back burner.

Well the day does eventually arrive. Needless to say it was pi$$ing down but that didn't detract
