Re: PPF/ Dealer/ Topaz?

Hi all - time to think about ppf/ gtechniq. May go a bit overboard but i’m not great at keeping cars looking good. 1. If you use hand car wash places then forget Gtechniq or ay other sealant - these car wash places use harsh chemicals and poor wash practices that will destroy the coating within mon...

Re: Need help with possible purchase

The macan is based on the Q5 if you didn’t know.

I’ve no idea in lead time for a new Q5 but unless there is a demo/showroom model or cancelled order I would expect 6 month lead time or more

Re: Need help with possible purchase

I've got 21s and PASM, its firm in normal mode - doesn't bother me , but still have body roll which sport modes help with (its a 2Tonne raised block of metal after all). 'Your' Macan... > is the four cylinder, so has a lighter engine and the suspension response will be different - not necessarily be...

Re: Transfer Box

I had a missing a service stamp (but had the receipt) after i bought mine, happened to be in Bournemouth so called into the OPC for them to stamp the book, and asked about any warranty info - the service advisor checked and stated no history of warranty work.

Re: Finance options - soon to be decision time

A lot depends what you think you’ll do in 4 years time. Option 1 costs you £43k through the term Option 2 costs you £45k through the term but potentially has added equity if you trade in /buy outright. Option 1 values it at ca 61% retained value. Who knows whether that’s optimistic in the current gl...

Re: Post (natal) Macan blues??

You can't defy physics; when you throw 2T on metal at a corner theres only so much suspension can do. Its no sports car and it never will be.

Re: EV Macan

Given the number of Macan’s they’ve sold in the last few years they will need to offer petrol ir done hybrid. Not everyone wanting a new macan at 2-4yrs old will want the EV. I too think they are very late to the party, and unless it’s a revelation in handling and ride comfort (the main issues with ...

Re: Selling my Macan S

Apparently market has 'softened' It probably has as a lot of folk tighten their purse strings. The lure of a new reg plate in September also doesn’t work for dealers any longer as they have no available new stock to offer. Some OPC used prices do look a bit more attractive than 6 months ago, but th...

They are there to make money for them, not the customer.

At least they made an offer, i think some OPCs might not have .
