Re: Battery woes
The problem I've got with Porsche (and probably other manufacturers) is that the first indication you get that the battery is going down a bit is a flurry of spurious alarms. It's as though the electronics have a higher voltage threshold of failure than the engine because the thing was turning over ...

Re: Battery woes
Lol. Feels like I've got one considering the number of times I'm gonna have to charge the thing up.

Re: Battery woes
No, the dashcam is off an ignition controlled feed. When you think about it the loads are quite large. The car lights up when you unlock it, the tailgate must take quite a bit of juice if you use it while parked up, the car is rammed with control modules and electronics, there's the DRLs etc, and wh...

Re: Battery replacement
A quick follow up on this one. I read somewhere that the smart alternator only charges during engine braking. Where did you read that? The alternator charges immediately on starting and continues until the battery is full charged, provided the engine is running above tickover speed. A low battery w...

Re: Battery woes
It never used to be a problem years ago. The loads on car's batteries back then were tiny compared to now. It seems that the charging profiles have gone down as loads have gone up, and that's with so called low current LED lights.
Stop/start doesn't help of course.

Battery woes
I'll set the scene, I retired earlier this year and knowing that I now would only be doing local journeys and wanting to avoid the trauma of a clogged DPF, I thought do the right thing and order yourself a brand new petrol MY23 Macan S and move the 2012 Cayenne Diesel on. So I did, and in April I pi...

Re: Loan Macan S experience
It's the top half of the backrest on the 14s (around armpit to shoulder height) that doesn't do it for me.
The support on the seat 'base' is fine.

Re: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!
Have you sent this? If so, good email. If not, I would take out the last line about ordering elsewhere (even if you are) as this rather takes away any incentive for them to offer any redress? I agree. The OP would have been set up for the red carpet treatment upon ordering and had the ammo for a co...

Re: Loan Macan S experience
Interesting about the speed & fuel - would be interesting to drive the same car with V-Power/Ultimate and see if it makes a big difference. Presume it was in correct sport setting? Re: the seats - do you recall if they were 8/14/18 way? I'm not sure how to tell the difference between 14 & 1...
