Re: Macan 1 S/Turbo Recall...

Had mine done a couple of months ago and have since noted that the stop/start now works. I can honestly say that pre-update, it never kicked in however post update, it still appears to be working virtually every time you come to a stop!! I also noticed that when driving away from the OPC, the car fe...

Re: Macan 1 S/Turbo Recall...

Interestingly, the recall is not currently showing on the Porsche UK recall checker (or DVSA/DVLA) As previously stated, the recall letter is very carefully worded (legally speaking) presumably to avoid potential "class action claims"? Porsche have stated in the letter that it isn't a safe...

Re: Macan 1 S/Turbo Recall...

Make that for three :D
Can't pretend to have understood most of the content of the letter but does seem rather odd?
Also, why only S/Turbo?

Autocoast is rather hit and miss any way and I generally activate using the paddle.

On the upside, will get a shiny new Porsche for the day

Re: Transfer Box Warranty

I have a Macan S built 12/03/18 and on a VIN check, I have the following code:
LU2 TRANSFER GEAR REINFORCED

I assume this to mean that this is an amended part?

Re: MACAN MKI - Rear tailgate conversion kit 2017

I agree with Mike993.
I have a Gen 1 and think that it looks great as is.
My wife really likes the Gen 2/3 rear ends and it arguably looks more modern (and generic).
However the Gen 1 embodies the original design ethos and is undeniably Porsche!!

Re: Sat nav update - Mark 1 Macan 2017 model

Hi
As previously stated, I updated the maps "over the air" on my 2018 Macan S earlier this year and the version is showing as 2022 so reasonably new maps!!
However the Google map overlay no longer works and I believe that this has been discontinued on Gen 1 variants?

Re: Sat nav update - Mark 1 Macan 2017 model

Hi I have a 2018 Macan with a car connect subscription. It is possible to update the nav maps over the air. Quickest solution is to turn off the built in phone and connect to home wifi. Go to software updates and choose map regions you wish to update. Can't say the PCM is very intuitive but you'll g...

Re: PCP / finance rates to increase

I would agree, it is only the future residuals that make finance on a Porsche viable. Currently paying 7.6% APR on used Macan S. New GTS on order currently at 7.9% but rather than cancel, will probably migrate my deposit to a new Macan S which will push me down the queue and hopefully by more thinki...

Re: Things I didn't know

Probably cheaper to simply leave the 12v socket in place than redesign the part.
I wonder if it is still powered?
