Re: TPMS - Unique to the car or not.
Thanks for the replies guys. I purchased the alloys from a company who specialise in Land Rover alloys. They are indeed genuine Macan fitment and do have the proper looking bolt in type valves consistent with a tpms. I'm in Northern Ireland and the advice given was from the manager of my local tyre ...

TPMS - Unique to the car or not.
My 2017 Macan SD came with a very nice set of Gen 2 20" Turbo alloys. Over half worn, but still legal. The ride was quite harsh and I decided to downsize prior to a road trip to the Scottish Highlands. I came across a set of 18" Macan alloys online with nearly new Michelin Cross Climate ty...

Re: Pre-Owned v Porsche Approved Pre-Owned
My guess is approved- pre owned has a full Porsche main dealer history. The Pre-owned doesn't. My own Porsche was purchased from a dealer only auction. The BMW dealer who took it in as a part exchange, passed it to their own Porsche dealership, who valued the car for him. I had reason to speak with ...

Re: Bosch Rear Wiper for Macan
Perfect timing.... just been looking online for new blades! Many thanks If you buy the Bosch rear wiper from Halfords, let us know how you get on. I now have Bosch wipers all round and I can verify that the rear blade is very quiet in operation, unlike the original factory fit that scraped across t...

Re: A Polish, a set of wee wheels and a road trip
Almost NC500'ish? We did that a couple of years ago, clockwise. Unfortunately the weather was poor so the best views were obscured but there were still some good roads to enjoy and things to see and do. The hotels were expensive though, I think there's maybe an 'NC500 Premium'! Nick, I have been do...

Re: Need a small favour from anyone using Auto Stop Start!
I’ve only been in the fold a little over a month. Mine only ever activated once in the first 3 weeks.
Literally stop/start once at a single set of traffic lights.
However, I then plugged the car into my ctek battery optimiser, designed especially for stop start batteries. It’s been working since.

A Polish, a set of wee wheels and a road trip
About a month ago I bought my first Porsche. The 2017 Macan S Diesel with 32,000 miles. Until it was pointed out on here I didn't realise the car had upgraded wheels.... 20" Gen 2 Turbo alloys no less. I almost instantly decided that I was going to take the car on a road trip from Belfast to th...

Re: Thoughts on Gap insurance…
My son just passed his driving test. All his pals are paying a fortune for car insurance. We used a company called ALA to insure his insurance excess. Compulsory £250 plus a voluntary £750 excess =£1000 Bought a policy for £45 to cover it if needed. His reduction in overall premium was a saving of a...

Re: Thoughts on Gap insurance…
It’s not for me, but if you think it’s viable, I know it’s available elsewhere for MUCH less money.
