Probably crackheads trying to steal/flog whatever they can. Apologies if that bit was cryptic. Fuel consumption may be similar but as specced the OP's car is comfortably +/- £10k below an S. So with £10k in their pocket that pays for an awful lot of petrol.

OP - get yourself signed up to Porsche GB and the Esso card. Saves you 6p a litre.
