Normal oil usage?
A low oil warning has just appeared on my (fairly) new Macan S. I’ve done just over 5,000 miles in 9 months. Is this usual or a fault? Previous cars I’ve had haven’t consumed oil that quickly. If it’s usual, any recommendations for what oil is best? I don’t know what is put in at the factory but doe...

Re: Luggage Compartment Mat
Mine isn’t personalised as it was bought after purchase as a gift for me, but I think it is probably the same construction. To be honest the protector is a bit of a faff because if there is anything in the boot with height on it, you have to try to fold it in somehow before the boot closes. There is...

Re: Towing experience with a Gen 3 Macan S
The maximum trailer length does not include the drawbar (the A-frame part at the front of a trailer which I think - and Old Chimer will know better than me, sometimes extends under the body of the caravan). That 7m figure also does not include any overhanging loads fore and aft of the trailer. There...

Re: Towing experience with a Gen 3 Macan S
Haha! The yellow hull is about 17.5 metres when joined. It splits at the 40 foot mark to fit into a standard shipping container. Weight wise the total is just shy of 2,000kg. 900kg trailer and about 1,090kg of load. The advantage of equipment being built to a tight race spec means that the weights a...

Towing experience with a Gen 3 Macan S
Had a first opportunity this weekend to use the Macan to tow long distance, rather than just round London. I thought I’d update the forum with some quick feedback given I asked for advice on whether to spec air suspension (and didn’t in the end). I have to say that it was one of the easiest towing v...

Re: Can't decide if its for me !!!!!!!
I have covered around 700 miles since taking delivery in mid-January. There are two things I dislike. First, the headlights. Others have mentioned these too and, while the beam is powerful and has more than sufficient reach into the distance, I have found that they way in which they fail to illumina...

Re: Who will be the first in 2022?
Picked up mine yesterday afternoon, here’s a couple of pics from the handover. Haven’t yet had a chance to do a full photoshoot! Interior is extended leather with gentian blue stitching and belts. Deposit placed early Aug, built end Nov. Bonnet seems fine, no sim/SD card slots. Can’t think of any o...

Re: Taycan Turbo
I’d love to have a go in the Taycan. My sales guy at our local OPC said the Taycan Turbo S he had at the launch event was mind-glowingly quick. My wife has a fairly sensible XC40 recharge and the instant torque you get when you floor the accelerator is impressive, and that is nowhere close to the T...

Re: Average age of macan driver?
39 here. So bringing the average down very slightly and balancing out some of you other guys!TheTraveller wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 4:16 pm Very nearly 68, but less in mind and body.
A number of years ago Porsche were saying that the average age a driver got his first Porsche was 40. Wonder if that’s still applicable?
