Re: 2024 Spring Budget

A cut in VAT would fuel inflation so I’d have thought it unlikely.

Re: Porsche service

I used Brooklands for my first service. Cost was £817 compared to quote from the OPC where I bought the car of £1383. The gap is at least partially accounted for by the
flushing scam.
Excellent customer service, car picked up from home and brought back next day.

Re: Indie Recommendation

Get a quote from Porsche Brooklands before you go to an independent. I had my first service done there recently £817.

Re: £63,850 for a 2017 GTS.....

Romans have a GTS with 137 miles on at £96950 which is £3000 less than they originally wanted so buy it and you’ve “saved” £3000.

Thanks for all the helpful replies. I was wondering about having the service early. I’ll talk to the OPC on Monday..

Oil Change

My Macan is sixteen months old and has covered 6300 miles. I’ve had a message flash up which reads Oil Change 19 days 9200 miles. That’s all no other words. No oil pressure warning light showing. Useage is a mixture of 15/20 mile journeys and 200 mile motorway trips. Very few short hops. Given curre...

Re: New Macan S owner - with grief already :(

Not the same car and not the same issue but the entire steering column on my Evoque failed. I’d given up on the extended warranty after a hassle over a much smaller problem the previous year. The response from the dealership was simply an estimate for a very expensive repair, no offer of help or inf...

Re: Build allocations

Dr Gloom here. I’m afraid the situation is only likely to get worse due to energy shortages. I’ve been involved recently in forward buying energy for a large organisation and have had a pretty frightening look at the near future. Industrial users are mostly on special tariffs which allow for interru...

Re: GTS just arrived!

Looks amazing. As you have ceramic coating it may not be the nightmare to clean that you fear. Mine, also black has the GTechnic treatment and it’s super easy, in fact rain does a lot of the work.
