Re: Slow speed whining noise

Mine still does it as per my original post. I too have had different answers etc. I’m now convinced it is the exhaust note from the airbox as the car is a slow speed it is more noticeable. It is still very annoying and the only car I have ever had that does this. I live with it, although begrudgingly

Re: Slow speed whining noise

Hey,

No, never got to the bottom of it. I now live with it 😞.

I driven a few more Macans since the last post and none of them do it., although to be fair, it was some 2l’s and a couple of GTS’s so not really a fair comparison.

Please let me know if they find anything though?

Re: Oil top Up help

For what it is worth, mine has had that message twice in 3 years. Each time I’ve put in half a litre or so of the same oil you have in the boot ( which is correct I believe and mentions diesel) and all has been well. Other members will comment with more detail and information I’m sure, but don’t wor...

Re: Slow speed whining noise

Hi,

Having listened to it, it isn’t the same noise that I have unfortunately.

I’m not sure what this is , but good luck in your search.

Re: Slow speed whining noise

Hey, No I didn’t, the exhaust valve was replaced, but that didn’t fix it. Eventually it was put down as a characteristic of the car, this is now the 3rd dealer who have checked and finally concluded this. It defo seems related to the exhaust, as I did have a ‘S’ loaner a couple of months ago and it ...

Re: Valve caps

I always put a dab of copper slip or vaseline on every tyre valve when I adjust the pressure, even my mtb!

Re: Remapping a MY20 Macan S

Thanks for all the replies, does anyone have any suggestions for anyone north of the border? I've put some feelers out but haven't committed yet.

Air filter and top vent on order, so I’ll fit that shorlty

Re: Remapping a MY20 Macan S

Think some air filters may be in my future, and mayby some dremel work with the covers.

Has anyone used the out of the box race chips above, I know they won't give a bespoke map, but the claimed figures are impressive, it would be interesting to know if they deliver anything like they claim?

Re: Remapping a MY20 Macan S

Has anyone had any success doing this with the air box and filter.

I did do something similar in my younger days, with GTI’s and the like and it seemed to works well, not sure how much it works with more modern engines, might just pop off the boxes completely for a quick test first though😳

Remapping a MY20 Macan S

I know the normal responses to expect from asking this question about remapping, but I’m curious to know has anyone has any success with doing it. I’ve scoured other forums etc and the S looks prime for a sensible remap from a specialist, with good gains all round. As to be honest it’s a lovely car,...
