Re: Track day
What date is it on? I am only 12 miles from Croft so might pop over. I have driven round Croft many times in various cars over the last twenty years doing track days, sprints and racing, it’s a fantastic circuit. I took my GTS on last year for a 20 min session and chased the Cosworth powered Sierra ...

Re: Handy tips
Do we all know about the double HOLD feature on the Macan? I haven't RTFM and only discovered it from someone here. I never use mine as it is such a poor design, on my previous car it activated automatically when the car came to a stop and it was from the same manufacturing group. Why Porsche think...

Re: 2017 Macan S Keyless entry, can it be switched off?
How have you done that? Converted to a "button"?
Still a key but I bought another dummy key and cut it down and bonded on an aluminium -12 JIC Cap fitting that I had. So now it doesn’t look like a key is in there I still have the original dummy key for when I sell the car...

Re: 2017 Macan S Keyless entry, can it be switched off?
Not sure on your year of Macan but on my 2022 model the key goes to sleep after a certain time of not moving so relay theft is reduced but the OBD method is stil possible. The keyless entry can be disabled on my 2022 model but unfortunately only each time you lock it. You have to press two of the th...

Re: T v S first impressions
I optioned the lane assist as I loved the adaptive cruise in my last car and thought it would be a great option to have. Well it was a real disappointment, I never use it as it can only be described as very poor. The ACC is mostly great compared to my old car but it could be better but I must say it...

Re: Oil consumption Gen 3 "S"
I have done 30k miles in 20 months in my Gen3 GTS since I bought it new and have had to top it up once around the 8-9k miles.

Re: Coolant heat up time?
The thermostat is two stage, the first stage will bypass the radiator to allow the engine to warm up quicker. Once it starts to open it closes off that route and the coolant then goes through the radiator. The oil cooler acts as a heater for the oil to help it get up to temperature quicker using the...

Re: Coasting
True, but that automatic coasting function seems to have been disabled in the Gen 3 Macan. You can still go into coasting mode manually, under the right conditions, by trying to select a higher than possible gear with the right hand paddle.
Coasting definitely works on my Gen3 Marc...
