I know that one or two on here will disapprove, but I normally fill up my car at Sainsbury’s, using their Super Unleaded.

Am pretty sure I read on here recently that it’s identical (?) to the fuel sold on BP forecourts. :geek:

Anyhow, not sure why, but I was a tad surprised to see a £300k + Ferrari Purosangue pull up behind me this afternoon at the supermarket fuel pumps. Not so much that the guy was filling up his pride & joy at Sainsbury’s, but rather that he chose to give his V12 thoroughbred standard (not super) unleaded. 🤔

From what I could tell (as I like pics) it was the colour shown below.

I think you read that Sainsbury's was SUPPLIED by BP, not identical to it. GTB will correct me if I'm wrong. As for the Ferrari it was probably one of their sales staff with the demo model!

I think it is GTB who said that it is identical fuel. Hopefully he’ll be along to confirm. :geek:

No, I think it was the owner. It had a private plate on it. I said “Nice car” to the driver and I think he was indeed the owner.

OK, looks like the rear end of a Macan S or GtS ( quad exhausts) in side profile.

I think Ferrari man probably doesn’t care what goes in it. On a 2-3 year lease, so any issues down the line won’t be his problem.

I’d personally never use supermarket fuel, or even Shell 95 Ron fuel. Always used V-Power in my cars, even my old little run-about Twingo 133 RS.

If you don't keep your car for too long the cheapest fuel is probably fine (for you).

As said however it is surprising that someone who buys (or leases) a Ferrari would worry about a few pounds extra for the recommended fuel.

I regularily see my local OPC filling their cars up @ Sainsbury with E10 95 Octane, ! asked 1 of the staff why and he answered it was because the dealership wouldn't pay the extra for E5 !!
