plus Gen 1 can have the oil leak issue
2018 Macan GTS or 2020 GTS
By way of contrast I love the haptics in my Gen 3 and the way that looks. The Gen 3 S and GTS have a great sound too.Madelvic wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 10:35 am Can others comment; is the Gen 2 GTS not substantially quicker than the Gen 1? My only reference point is the same engine in an Audi RS4. I wouldn't call my Gen 1 GTS quick!
I think the engine sound is cr4p on my Gen 1 so surprised that the Gen 2 is 'worse'. Personally I'm not a fan of the haptics in the Gen 3 so I wouldn't consider it.
I'd opt for a nice spec Gen 2, but on the other hand what else could you do with £20k saved?
I’d be happy with any model though but would make sure that a Gen 1 had already had the Transfer Case mod.

I really couldn't live with the Sport 18-way seats. Have done 2 x 50 miles in them today and my back was aching. 14-way Comfort seats far more... comfortable, plus you get the electric steering column. 8-ways not as good.
Have switched on the lane assist a few times as the haptic buttons seem to sense a finger, hand, arm hovering over them.

There is an option to turn proximity sensing off.

I’d say avoid a GTS and look for an S or Tubo, if its a Family Motor.
Agree with others 18 way are not the seats to have especially if your Partner is short in height. My 5’2” Wife found the 18 way seats difficult to get into.

This is all dependent on the individual
We’ve had the 14 ways in the past and now only buy the 18 ways as we find them far superior in comfort.
We’re both fairly slim, just goes to show you that you need to go sit in the seats and decide for yourself.
I’m not really sure it’s about comfort as such, both are plenty comfortable I think, or at least can be adjusted to be. The issue is that 18w have very high side bolsters which make ingress and particularly egress, a slight embuggerance.
Nearly all 18w over a few months old will have creases in these bolsters because they are difficult not to sit on both getting in and out.
It can be avoided of course, it’s just a real effort to do so. Perfectly comfortable seat though in my experience and grips you very well.
Just difficult to see the point of them in a 2 tonne SUV on a UK road…

I struggle with the manual, ask bennachi, so can you point that bit out? My masterclass advised that the console has to have the plastic depressed to operate the functions, to avoid "accidents".
