I specced it up on the config, £85k + £30k of extras, and the extras chosen versus those not chosen is fascinating. Air outlet trims in carbon £1k, aluminium pedals £300, posh fuel filler cap £117. Must be a lot of fun being let loose in the configurator and ordering a car that is just for demo purposes.
They never even showed me how the hybrid bit works, just handed me the keys and said see you later. Stunning car though, which I'm taking up the motorway and around some country roads tomorrow before handing it back.

At least they didn't give you a Taycan. They'd have been awaiting your return keen to flog you one. Plenty `in stock`

A taycan is a huge upgrade though, much more expensive and probably more powerful than your Macan. Interior is also much higher calibre than a Macan.

I had great fun the 2 times I got loaned a Taycan and a Taycan 4S.

Last week for a couple of days, yes! Cracking car, surprised me actually. Doesn't feel its size on the road. Drove it mostly in Sport or Sport Plus but when I did try Hybrid Auto or whatever it's called it was doing over 50mpg. Even managed to sneak in a Costco run too!

I've booked my Macan in with my OPC for January to investigate a bit of kangarooing when first started on cold damp mornings. They are having it in for 7 days to investigate and they've put me down for "something equivalent" to mine. I won't be too bothered what it is, though another Porsche would be nice. I do like to try out different cars.
2019 Macan S Gen2 with lots of toys.
Audi TT TFSI Quattro S-Tronic from new for 7 years.
BMW Z4 Sdrive23i (folding hard top) for 4 years.
Mazda MX-5 (folding hard top) for 4 years.
Toyota MR-2 Gen3 for 140000 miles.
Mazda RX-7 Gen 2 for 3 engines :D

It’s a stunning looking car I think, although it seems to me like there is a pause when you switch between hybrid and petrol when you suddenly accelerate. Maybe I’m just not used to it.
It feels wider than my Cayenne but isn’t, and there’s way less room in the back even though it’s longer. Liking the 18-ways but my son says he prefers my 8-way alcantara seats.
I can’t believe they sell many of them, seems a very niche market.

I was told to expect a Macan on the basis that was the standard loaner. So was a bit surprised when they handed me the keys to the Panamera. So you never know your luck.

I agree that the Panamera doesn’t feel its size on the road. I bought a new Panamera 4 in 2017 and loved it! :)

Dropped our car in for a oil change service and got given Taycan 4S. First time driving an electric and pleasantly surprised by the experience. Only have 100 miles range left so there was definitely some range anxiety kicking in.

Also, they must have had a shipment just delivered. Lots of newly unregistered Porsches in the car with nowhere to park.

They also had a lovely Macan GTS in PTS purple
