My Macan S petrol goes into Leeds for the recall next week, they are giving me a loaner for 3 hours, any idea what I might get? or expect?

A nearly new Porsche hopefully! Probably a Macan.

But be prepared that it might be a lesser brand!

Over 7 years, I nearly always got a Porsche (Boxster, Cayman, Macan or Cayenne normally) but a few times, I got something else, where they ran out of Porsche courtesy cars and had to hire something locally, latest being a Kia...

Don’t worry & just let it be a surprise... ;)

Expect the worse, and you’ll only be pleased with the outcome. :D

They often don’t know either - he can change so easily if an existing job over runs

As somebody mentioned just call it a lottery and if it isn’t long term then it doesn’t matter but if this helps in the past (from other manufacturers I should add) I’ve had …

Gen 1 v8 r8
Gen 2 v10 r8
Gen 2 V10 RS6
Gen 1 RS5
Gen 2 RS5

Mk1 V10 M6
Mk2 V8 M6
F90 v8 M6

From Porsche I’ve had everything !

Mmmm, a few 'cocky' replies there, no need to take the piss, I would imagine a lot of you guys have had a loan car from Porsche before, I never have and late in life am now privileged to own my first ever prestige car, so to me being lent another Porsche for a few hours is quite exciting.

What did the goat entrails say?

I doubt Porsche do Porsche loan cars. I'm surprised they don't have fleets of Skoda's or Golfs, as they are all part of the same group.

From what I've read on other threads, you may just get a rent-a-car vehicle. So anything from a Kia upwards.

TBH, sometimes getting a little underpowered loan car can be quite fun if you have a few hours to kill and some fun roads to use it on.

Never had anything but Porsche from midsussex although I agree having something completely different is fun for a day or two - like I’ve said many a time before I often get more of a kick driving our Seat on a back road than anything else I have
