Hi
Am i right in saying the Porsche App rarely works? I have my phone connected on the PCM in the vehicle, the app shows a green radio button which i think means the car is transmitting a signal, but absolutely no data for the car shows on the app. When i click on "details" in the app it says "restrictive view" but i have not set that (to my knowledge) on either the app nor in the vehicle?

Can anyone offer advice on getting this working or is it just never functioning. It worked initially when i first got the car but now don't connect.

It's hopeless, I'm afraid. Sometimes I can see the car data and sometimes not. Usually not. It's the same with my Boxster.

It often tells me that the car's unlocked, but have stopped believing it as it's always locked when I check.

You can probably get it sorted via your OPC, but it could be a bit of a process which involves hard rebooting the system or so I've heard.

It's rubbish, sadly, like a lot of VAG software.
Macan S collected 4 Dec 2017 - Jet Black, 20" SportDesign, Agate/Pebble, 18-way, Pano roof, Bi-Xenons with PDLS, Surround View, PASM, PS+, spare wheel, towbar.

The Porsche App connected to my Macan works 95% of the time. The only thing that no longer works, it did for the first 2 yrs! is sending a route from the App on my phone to the car's Sat Nav.

While first time around from September 2019 the App worked fine, now the new version, whilst paired to the car, is showing "Remote Services not available" so no green radio button, car data or "Send to vehicle" options but the manual and favourite locations work. I've raised it through the "Report an issue" link within the App (Account/Contact & Help/Report an Issue) which has been acknowledged so hopefully its being looked at. I suggest anybody that hasn't already submit a report, it allows you to attach screenshots and let's give the IT support team plenty to chew on!

Solved my problem. I had the privacy option ticked on the cluster! Now works but by the sound of it i probably shouldn't have bothered.
